The Remote Support Process

Remote Support is a special service offered by Pine Valley Computer Services where we link our computer to yours over the Internet. This is exactly how the process works:

1) Contact Pine Valley Computer Services

First of all contact Pine Valley Computer Services via:

Phone: (204) 297-0938
Fax: (204) 832-3912
Email: helpdesk@pvcs.ca
or use our contact form.

2) Describe the Problem

Describe the problem to our technician and they will be able to determine whether or not Remote Support is a possibility.

If Remote Support is an option then you will be asked to provide some basic information. Then you will be directed to a PayPal account to pay $80.00 (plus tax) for a one-hour Diagnosis/Analysis session.

Once that is paid you will be directed to a website where you can download the necessary software and the session can begin.

3) What Happens During Remote Support?

During Remote Support our technicians will access your computer system remotely and analyze the problem(s) you're facing.

During the session you, the client, will install special software and set up a special secure connection. That connection will allow our technician to remotely access your system. Once we're in then we analyze your entire system. It's possible that we can immediately repair whatever is wrong with a minimal loss of productivity – it happens sometimes!

Throughout the Remote Support procedure you can observe everything while it is happening and, when everything is finished, you can sever the connection and remove the program from your system.

4) Report

When you receive the Diagnosis/Analysis Report it will include an estimate of any extra time needed to repair the problem – that's if it can't be fixed in the first hour.

If the problem cannot be fixed through the Remote Support option then that will be reported as well and a house call will be scheduled to repair the problem.
